CBS&R, based in Montgomery, has been appointed advertising agency of record for the Mall of Louisiana, which will open in Baton Rouge, La., in October. The agency handles advertising for more than a dozen malls around the country.


C.G. Chase Construction Co. has selected Green Advertising of Boca Raton to handle marketing and public relations. The agency will produce Chase’s four-color company brochure.

The Davis Barone Agency in Boca Raton has recently added several accounts to its client roster. The new clients include Travelpro U.S.A., Aerothrust, Sikorsky Helicopters and Vacation Break U.S.A. The company also reported increased business from existing clients Embassy Suite Hotels, Poinciana Beach Resort and Jet Aviation.

Sanchez & Levitan in Miami has been assigned local market public relations responsibilities for Coca-Cola’s new Citra brand soft drink.

Ad-Tech Communications in Hollywood has selected the Think First Foundation as a pro bono client. Think First is an organization dedicated to the prevention of brain and spinal injuries in children.


Sawyer Riley Compton in Atlanta has won two best of division awards at the Business Marketing Association Pro-Comm National Awards competition for work produced for its ESAB Welding and Cutting Products client. The agency also received four awards of professional excellence in the BMA contest.

Century Long Distance has selected Hood & Associates in Atlanta to launch its first advertising campaign. The print and radio effort will begin in Michigan and Louisiana markets.

The Atlanta office of Fleishman-Hillard has been named to handle the women’s healthcare account of Solvay Pharmaceuticals. The advertising agency will implement public relations programs to support the client’s line of women’s health products.

NewsLetters Plus in Atlanta has added three new clients to its business roster. They are: Serologicals Corp., Uihmo and Behavioral Health Partners. The combined billings for the three new accounts approaches $200,000.

Vargas Flores & Amigos in Atlanta has been named to handle international and domestic trade fairs for Messe Frankfurt Inc. The agency will create tri-lingual promotional materials for the client to use in the United States, Latin America, China and Germany.

Norrell Corp. has chosen the Atlanta office of Manning, Selvage & Lee to handle corporate, financial and marketing communications assignments.

McCulloch & Co. in Atlanta has announced the following account acquisitions: Tanger Outlet Centers, Light Sources Inc., Disease Prevention Technologies, Ceres by RoadTrac, U.S. Xpress Enterprises and PetsMart.


Strategic Communications Group in Silver Spring has added three new pieces of business. They are: Special Libraries Association, Stratos Global Corp./Stratos Global Networks and Solutions!

The Dan Rosenthal Co., Bethesda, has added four new accounts to its client list. They are: TownePlace Suites by Marriott, Plumbing Express, Lindsay Cadillac/Lexus of Alexandria and Saturn of Alexandria. The agency has also work with Boys Town of Washington, D.C., on a pro bono basis.


Scott Jaguar has placed its advertising account at Charlotte-based Stegall & Castleberry.


LHWH Public Relations in Myrtle Beach has been retained by Black Rock of Englewood, Colo., to handle the company’s public relations requirements. The client makes the Killer Bee Long Driver, which is endorsed by Rocky Thompson.

The Sellers Group in Myrtle Beach has garnered a One Award from the national Cellular One Group. The award was given for a local market outdoor board the agency created for the client, which annually recognizes advertising and marketing excellence among its roster of agencies.

Jackson-Dawson Marketing Communications, which is located in Greenville, recently won two statewide prizes in the annual Mercury Awards program under the aegis of the South Carolina chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. The agency won a silver and a certificate of merit.

The Gillespie Agency in Columbia has been assigned advertising and marketing responsibilities for Vista Brewing and Bistro, a restaurant that produces a line of ales in its own microbrewery. The agency was also recently cited as a Vendor of Excellence by Southeastern Freight Lines, a client of the shop’s since 1992.


Lindsey Bradley & Maloy and affiliate agency Notch/Bradley, both located in Chattanooga, have been named to handle public relations and strategic image planning services for the National Drug Prevention League.

Pecos Films director Michael McNamara’s work has won two Telly Awards, which showcase non-network and cable television commercials, as well as film and video productions. The Nashville director received a silver and a bronze.


The Urban League of Virginia has given the Phillip Randolph Award to The Miles Agency in Virginia Beach. The award is given to a company that makes progress in diversifying its workforce.
