Computer software company Frontec AMT in Stamford has selected Stanton Crenshaw Communications for public relations chores. The agency will service the client from its Stamford and New York offices.

MAINE
Seven Design has opened in Portland. The advertising and design agency is headed by principal and creative director Annie Darling, who was most recently with Darling & Lapchick Design Communications.

MASSACHUSETTS
Peter Arnold Associates in Wellesley has been tapped to handle public relations chores for Sybari Software, a maker of anti-virus applications in East Northport, N.Y.
The Horn Group in Braintree has added the following clients to its roster: Kenan Systems Corp., a software provider in Cambridge; The Patricia Seybold Group, an analyst research firm in Boston; ArborText, a provider of document authoring and publishing in Ann Arbor, Mich.; Simware, an extranet development firm in Ottawa; and TradeMart Technologies, a retail technology provider in London, Ontario.
CFI Design Group in Needham has been retained by United Publications in Yarmouth, Maine. The agency will develop and implement branding and direct marketing campaigns for the company’s six trade conferences and expositions in 1999.
Ultra Design in Boston will co-sponsor the exhibition “2xIntro: Photographs by Michael Stipe.”
Cohen-Friedberg Associates in Framingham has been retained by Black Enterprise and Latina to serve as fulfillment agency for both magazines.
CF Video in Watertown has been tapped by Boston-based Arnold Communications and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health to produce SmokeScreeners, a program intended to educate 11-14-year-olds about the unrealistic portrayal of smoking in films.

NEW HAMPSHIRE
Almus & Lee Communications in Nashua has posted a Web site for Tartan Technical, a value-added reseller of graphics and imaging products in Tyngsboro, Mass. The agency also has created a historical legacy center for NH.com, the Granite State’s online information source.
Bedford Granite Group in Bedford has been named agency of record by Clark & Lavey Benefits Solutions in Merrimack, a provider of insurance brokerage services for employers. The shop will also provide public relations support to Notre Dame College in Manchester.
