WASHINGTON, D.C. The Ad Council and the Martin Luther King National Memorial Project Foundation on Wednesday launched a public service campaign to raise money to place a statue of the slain civil rights leader on the Mall in Washington. The memorial would be the first on the Mall to honor an African-American.
The campaign, which breaks this week, will include work done by New York Publicis Groupe shop Saatchi & Saatchi for TV, radio, print and the Internet.
