Abelson-Taylor, DAS in Global Alliance

CHICAGO Abelson-Taylor, an independent healthcare agency here, will partner with Omnicom’s Diversified Agency Services group for international projects, the shop said today.

“This global affiliation allows us to exercise more control over both the message and its execution and to satisfy the needs of clients who prefer the network model for global promotion,” said Dale Taylor, president and CEO of Abelson-Taylor, in a statement. He said the network’s breadth of agencies in Europe was a major factor in the decision.

A-T will retain its independence, and only use the DAS as needed on global projects, according to a representative for the agency. Terms of the alliance were not disclosed.

Abelson-Taylor’s current global clients include pharmaceuticals from Amgen, Lilly and Genentech. The shop claimed $40 million in revenue last year.
