NEW YORK Brown & Williamson Tobacco Corp., the U.S. arm of British American Tobacco, has launched a review for its domestic media planning and buying duties. Billings are estimated at $50 million.

The Louisville, Ky. client has hired New York consultancy ADvice & ADvisors to manage the process. ADvice & ADvisors president Linda Fidelman confirmed that she was handling the review but declined further comment.

The incumbent, Grey Global Group’s MediaCom, is expected to defend. The client has contacted several other media shops and will draw up a list of four finalists in two weeks, according to sources.
