NEW YORK – Five shops are pitching for creative responsibilities on the estimated $20 million motor oil image ad account of of Quaker State Corp., according to sources.
Those agencies are: Goodby, Silverstein & Partners and Leagas Delaney, both San Francisco; Rubin Postaer and Associates, Santa Monica, Calif.; Cliff Freeman and Partners, New York; and one undisclosed shop, sources said. Foote, Cone & Belding, Chicago, resigned the business in September, and creative chores were briefly taken in-house by the client.
William Tucker, whose Tucker Partnership in Dallas provides Quaker State with marketing support materials, is overseeing the process.
