$20-25 Mil. Welch Foods Goes Into Play

CHICAGO Welch Foods has hired consultancy Jones Lundin Beals here to conduct a review of its $20-25 million ad account held by Havas’ Arnold.

The agency’s New York office, which has worked with the client for more than two decades, intends to “enthusiastically defend” the business, said Mary Baglivo, office president.

A dozen requests for proposals have been issued, mainly to agencies in the East and Midwest with packaged goods experience, sources said. Jones Lundin declined comment.

The client, based in Concord, Mass., is the marketing arm of the National Grape Cooperative Association.
