2 Move Up as Achenbaum Exits ABA Partners

DALLAS Advertising agency search firm Achenbaum Bogda Associates has changed its name to ABA Partners and promoted two key executives after the departure of co-founder Alvin Achenbaum, the company said.

Achenbaum, who carried the title of chairman, left the company to devote more time to publishing and lecturing, said partner Pete Bogda. Achenbaum has taught at Bernard Baruch Graduate School of Public and Business Administration and written numerous articles on marketing and advertising.

Under the new management structure, Bogda’s son, Mike, will be managing partner of the Dallas office while Reji Puthenveetil becomes managing partner of the Raleigh, N.C., office. Menno Ellis, formerly a strategy consultant at A.T. Kearney, joined ABA as a partner in 2004.

“Reji and Mike have been key factors in our success,” Pete Bogda said. “Their new responsibilities reflect the confidence that our firm and our clients have placed in them.”

Founded in 1995, ABA Partners recently guided the agency review for Kia Motors of America. Other recent searches have included Service Experts, Lennox Industries and the American Red Cross.
