UM global CEO Daryl Lee announced the appointment in an internal memo last week.Rosenbaum will manage the global profit and loss statement, build relationships with regional and global UM leaders and serve as a business partner for UM capabilities including BAE, UM Studios and the agency’s precision marketing practice, focused on commercializing such specialities. Karen Stutenroth will continue to oversee U.S. financial operations as finance director, working closely with Rosenbaum.Prior to leaving for WebMD in 2014, Rosenbaum served as vice president, associate director of finance for UM and helped increase the profitability of J3 Studios. His agency experience also includes a stint with Ogilvy & Mather as global client finance manager for IBM Worldwide and senior strategic financial analyst, North America.Rosenbaum’s arrival follows UM winning a large portion of SharkNinja’s $60 million media account last month, while client Charles Schwab launched a media review. In 2016, Adweek named UM its “Global Media Agency of the Year” after it won the global Johnson & Johnson account. UM went on to win media duties for Spotify later that year and Accenture last April.
