Dentsu Group has announced that Hiroshi Igarashi is to succeed Toshihiro Yamamoto as president and chief executive from next year.

After five years, Yamamoto will step down on January 1 to be replaced by Hiroshi Igarashi, CEO of Dentsu’s Japanese Network (DJN), while Tim Andree will also retire from an executive role as part of a new management structure and board changes. Andree will take on a non-executive chairman role—to be approved at the next Annual General Shareholder’s Meeting in March—and he will be tasked with overseeing growth across Dentsu, as well as in collaboration and alignment.
