NEW YORK ESPN’s “This is SportsCenter” campaign is still delivering the laughs after more than a decade of satirical looks at the inner workings of the show. In this latest execution, fitness guru Richard Simmons, with all his sparkle and possessed passion, is brought in as a conditioning coach. Anchor Stuart Scott explains working noon to 3 a.m., 365 days a year can “wear you out.” Cut to Simmons in red glittery tank top and striped shorts maniacally urges the sports anchors through specially tailored exercises such as weight training with reams of game scores and passing an oversized dictionary around.
