NEW YORK The viral video phenomenon is set to travel from the Web to the sky.

LG15 Studios, the production team behind the YouTube hit lonelygirl15, has struck a deal with the airline Virgin Atlantic to distribute its original Web series, KateModern, on international flights. Passengers will be able to view the first 31 episodes of the short-form, U.K.-set mystery drama—which debuted on the social networking site Bebo in July—via their seat-back TVs.

To date, KateModern, which follows the travails of a young art student facing a conspiracy, has delivered 25 million views online, according to officials.
