NEW YORK Ex-Dennis Publishing U.S. chief executive Stephen Colvin has landed at CNET Networks as an evp, overseeing entertainment and lifestyle brands like GameSpot, TV.com, Chow and UrbanBaby that the company acquired through launch and acquisition. CNET made the announcement today.

Colvin was behind the 1997 launch of Maxim, whose rapid ascent set off a rash of men’s lifestyle magazine copycats. He also oversaw its expansion into the online, radio, TV, lounges and other arenas, and was at the helm for Dennis’ launches of Blender and The Week.
