NEW YORK A new Volkswagen spot from CreativeOn-
demanD in Coral Gables, Fla., features a teary seaside breakup directed by Anonymous Content’s John Dolan. The spot begins with a guilty-looking guy approaching a car as he tells someone off camera, “Look, I don’t want to drag this out anymore. I think it’s time to go our separate ways.” Ben Ashley’s “Open Up the Light” adds to the melancholy mood, and the next shot, from a distance in the parking lot, reveals that he is talking to the car.
