LOS ANGELES Petco is evaluating six agencies in the review of creative chores on its estimated $30 million ad account, according to sources.

Shops that have made final presentations are: the incumbent, independent Phelps Group in Los Angeles; Omnicom Group’s DDB in Chicago and Martin/Williams in Minneapolis; independents Doner in Southfield, Mich., and M&C Saatchi in Santa Monica, Calif.; and Publicis & Hal Riney in San Francisco, per sources.

Agency executives either declined comment or could not be reached.
