CHICAGO Draft has promoted Laurence Boschetto to president and chief operating officer of the Interpublic Group shop here. He becomes heir apparent to chairman and CEO Howard Draft, the agency confirmed.
Boschetto’s post is a new one, and he will have oversight of the agency’s 40 offices worldwide. A company representative said founder Howard Draft, 52, has no plans to retire.
“These are exciting times for our global organization, and we need to reinforce our senior management ranks to make sure we fully maximize these new opportunities,” Howard Draft said in a statement.
