Marketing Drive Adds Key Players

BOSTON Marketing Drive said it has made several key additions to its staff, including Gretchen Mullin, who has been tapped as the agency’s first marketing communications manager.

Reporting to agency chief growth officer Craig Millon, Mullin, 31, is charged with developing and managing the overall brand for Marketing Drive through Web initiatives, marketing materials, public relations and industry events. She was most recently marketing communications manager at MetLife in Westport, Conn., where she focused on the AARP business and was accountable for management, development and coordination of direct mail, direct response TV, Web, print and telesales initiatives.

“Gretchen’s corporate communications expertise will play a valuable role in the continued growth of the agency,” said Dean Buresh, CEO of Interpublic Group’s Marketing Drive in Wilton, Conn.

Curt Covert has joined Marketing Drive as creative director. Covert, 40, brings a wealth of creative writing experience to the mix. His most recent position includes eight years at Alcone Marketing Group as vice president and concept director.

Marketng Drive’s other personnel additions are: Doug Pendergist and Leslie Sabino, both client supervisors, and Bruce Kaechele as associate creative director.
