NEW YORK Dimassimo is touting premium Duvel as the best thing Belgium has to offer, drawing crowds of tourists despite the country’s soggy climate and unfavorable exchange rate.
The outdoor campaign, which broke in New York last week, touts the 8.5 percent alcohol beer as “The Best of Belgium. Bottled.” Gold calligraphy against a velvety red background quips, “Apparently, Belgium also makes chocolate” and “Napoleon didn’t march 72,000 men from Paris to Brussels for the waffles.”
