NEW YORK Kirshenbaum Bond + Partners has won creative duties for Carrabba’s Italian Grill after a four-month review, the client said today.

The MDC Partners shop topped independent roster agency Doner in Southfield, Mich., which continues to handle media planning and buying.

The Tampa, Fla.-based subsidiary of Outback Steakhouse had been working with freelance creative director David Hale in New York, said client vp of marketing and advertising Andi Jacobs. As Carrabba’s grew—the Italian-themed restaurant chain now operates 178 units—it became clear that a full-service agency was needed, Jacobs said.
