NEW YORK WPP Group’s Red Cell network said it has appointed Katie Halling business development director, a new position, effective immediately.

Halling’s responsibilities will be to generate organic growth within the 57 network offices as well as to pursue new clients, manage international pitches and raise the network’s profile. She will be based in London and report to Red Cell Europe CEO Amanda Walsh, who called Halling “fantastically qualified to perform this role.”

Halling, 37, was most recently a management supervisor at Omnicom Group’s TBWA in London.
