ATLANTA Trumpet Advertising plans to launch a new television campaign by the end of the month for Louisiana’s Tobacco-Free Living organization, the shop said.

The independent New Orleans shop won the $4 million account earlier this year in a review that started with about a dozen undisclosed agencies. The state-sponsored, anti-smoking campaign has not advertised previously.

In addition to the TV effort, the campaign includes outdoor advertising, which begins appearing on billboards throughout the state this week, and radio ads, which began airing last week.

The account is one of several the shop has added in the past year that has helped double its annual billings to $20 million. Trumpet also has added eight employees to work on the new accounts, increasing its staff to 28 people.

Among the new hires are Matt McGuiness and Ness Higsom as associate creative directors. McGuiness arrives from WestWayne in Atlanta, and Higsom joins from Mobile, Ala.-based Lewis Communications.

The shop also has added Scott Couvillon as senior account director for the statewide launch of Louisiana Tobacco-Free Living, Robin Cambre as account director for Chevy’s Fresh Mex Restaurants, Sarah Lopez as account manager for the Real Mex restaurant, Anthony Vachris as copywriter, Chris Cobb as art director, Marjorie McMahon as production manager and Beverly Mitchell in the accounting department.
