Steve Cavendish Named Editor of Washington City Paper
Nashville Scene's editor returns to DC.
Steve Cavendish, the current news editor of the Nashville Scene, will be the new editor of Washington City Paper starting in June, filling a position left vacant when former editor Mike Madden moved to The Washington Post in March.
This marks a return to DC for Cavendish, who was a news editor at The Washington Post from 1999 to 2002. In the staff announcement, interim publisher Eric Norwood quoted Cavendish as saying he was “excited to return to D.C., a city my wife and I love and have missed.”
