SAN FRANCISCO Advanced Micro Devices has launched a review for its ad account after splitting with Interpublic Group’s McCann Erickson, which handled the business at its office here, sources said.
Sources said the decision to terminate the three-year relationship was precipitated at least partly by McCann’s desire to participate in the ongoing review for Intel’s $300 million global business. In that review, McCann is leading an IPG team against agencies from rival holding companies Omnicom Group and WPP Group.
