LOS ANGELES Kia Motors America said it retained independent davidandgoliath for creative duties on its ad account following a review.

The automaker in Irvine, Calif., spends approximately $270 million annually on ads, per Nielsen Monitor-Plus.

The other finalists were MDC Partners’ Kirshenbaum Bond + Partners in New York, independent Cramer-Krasselt in Chicago and Omnicom Group’s GSD&M in Austin, Texas. Davidandgoliath is located in Los Angeles.

“Each of the finalists displayed impressive credentials and put forth a great effort during the agency review,” said Peter Butterfield, president and chief executive officer of Kia Motors America, in a statement.
