NEW YORK Doner is in contact negotiations to handle creative duties on Quaker State motor oil, besting three other shops for the estimated $20-25 million account, sources said.
The other finalists were WPP Group’s J. Walter Thompson, Omnicom Group’s TBWA\Chiat\Day and incumbent The Tucker Partnership.
Doner, an independent based in Southfield, Mich., became the front-runner after a second round of presentations to the Houston client last week, said sources. The first round took place two weeks ago.
