Politico 'Expands' Sales Team by Luring NJ Employees Over

As we reported earlier, NJ is losing two members of its sales staff to a competitor — that competitor would be Politico.

Politico has announced that it “expands” its team with the hires of Mike Schoenbrun and Chelsea Carter. Schoenbrun will be the business development manager. Carter will be an account executive.

POLITICO Expands Sales Team, Nabs Top Talent from National Journal

ARLINGTON, Va. – POLITICO announced today that Mike Schoenbrun and Chelsea Carter have joined the company’s sales team.

Schoenbrun and Carter are departing National Journal to bring to POLITICO their experience in selling advocacy ads and special events in the Washington D.C., market.

Schoenbrun will be POLITICO’s business development manager and will lead a team focused on new business opportunities and national campaigns for the 2010 and 2012 elections. He has worked for National Journal, Time Warner and Universal McCann.

Carter will serve as POLITICO’s account executive focused on business to government and campaigns for 2010 and 2012. She has worked for National Journal, Government Executive and as a press intern on Capitol Hill.
