AT&T* announced today a contribution of US$20,000 to the International Center for Journalists (ICFJ) to support a new course in Brazil called Digital Tools for Effective Public Service Journalism.

Beginning in April, the initiative will combine online and in-classroom training on how to use the latest digital tools to cover public-interest topics of concern to communities in Brazil, such as public transportation, economic development and crime.

About 30 journalists will be selected to participate in the online portion of the program.
