SAN FRANCISCO California’s largest utility, Pacific Gas & Electric, has put its $10-20 million ad account in review, a client representative said.

PG&E advertising is currently being handled by WPP’s J. Walter Thompson, San Francisco; requests for proposals will go out this fall, the rep said.

The utility, serving 14 million people, regularly reviews its large contracts and had not done so with its five-year JWT account, said John Nelson, PG&E spokesman. It was not determined whether the incumbent would participate in the review.
