LOS ANGELES Saatchi & Saatchi today promoted Harvey Marco to executive creative director from his former position as creative director, the agency said.

In his new role, Marco will continue to focus on Toyota Motor Sales USA, an account the Publicis Groupe shop has held for 28 years. Marco will report directly to chief creative officer Steve Rabosky.

Marco’s Toyota work has already been recognized with numerous awards, including a Cannes gold Lion, a Belding Bowl and a silver Clio for the Tacoma spot “Girlfriend,” on which he served as creative director.

Marco has been with Torrance, Calif.-based Saatchi & Saatchi for just over a year; he originally joined the agency after spending eight years as creative director at Publicis’ Fallon in Minneapolis.
