MMMM. What’s that smell? Like a billowing cloud of blood, the news of a major summer ad buy has DC media reps in a feeding frenzy this morning. They’ll be delaying their arrival on the beach to make sure they get a piece of the action. Americans for Stable Quality Care, a pro-POTUS group comprised of SEIU, Federation of American Hospitals, PhRMA and Families USA is about to drop $12 million on TV ads over the congressional recess to support the administration’s health insurance reform proposals. And print reps all over town are already trying to convince buyers that Members really do read their publications when they’re not in town.
