NEW YORK The American Museum of the Moving Image this week launched an online exhibition of more than 250 television commercials from every presidential campaign since 1952.

Called “The Living Room Candidate: Presidential Campaign Commercials 1952-2004,” the site consists of a searchable database, commentary, historical background, election results and navigation organized by year and theme.

The exhibition, found at www.movingimage.us, carries the “Eisenhower Answers America” spots from 1952, the “daisy girl” ad from Lyndon Johnson’s 1964 campaign, and Ronald Reagan’s “Morning in America” spots from 1984, among other memorable commercials.
