If you’re looking for a job in media in Washington, it’s not too much of a stretch to say that NPR is one of the only games in town. At least, they’re one of the only ones expanding and hiring thanks to a $200 million gift from McDonalds heir Joan Kroc
“I wouldn’t call it a binge,” newly appointed VP for New Bill Marimow tells Harry Jaffe. “I would call it significant growth.”
Jaffe explains: The NPR news operation has added 50 journalists in the past three years, raising the total from 350 to 400.
