CHICAGO Original Juan Specialty Foods has tapped Barkley Evergreen & Partners as lead agency for its Pain is Good brand of salsas, hot sauces, snack mixes and bloody Mary mixes, the client confirmed.

The Kansas City, Mo., agency will handle strategic planning, creative, interactive, media and sales promotion for the company, said Original Juan president Joe Polo. “We’re not a household name,” Polo said. “Our goal is to become a nationally recognized brand, and we believe that hiring Barkley Evergreen & Partners will be key to helping us achieve that goal.”
