NEW YORK Biscuit Filmworks’ Noam Murro has left his post as director of DreamWorks’ The Ring 2.

The horror movie was to be the commercial director’s first foray into feature filmmaking.

“Walter [Parkes, DreamWorks Pictures co-head] and Noam decided it wasn’t the run for him,” said Shawn Lacy Tessaro, executive producer at Biscuit Filmworks. After working on the script for four months, “[Murro] wanted to do it a little darker than they wanted for this sequel,” Tessaro said.
