BOSTON Motorola is conducting separate public relations reviews for its semiconductor and mobile phone divisions, according to sources.

WPP Group’s Hill & Knowlton, the incumbent on both accounts, is expected to defend both pieces of business. Other contenders could not immediately be determined. Decisions are expected in March, sources said.

The budgets are undisclosed. Motorola is handling the searches internally. Company officials did not immediately return calls.

Last year the Schaumburg, Ill.-based client spent about $35 million on advertising, mostly on its mobile phones, according to Nielsen Monitor-Plus.
