DALLAS Lopez Negrete Communications has picked up the ad account of Azteca Milling, which produces corn masa flour that is commonly used to make tortillas and tamales, the shop said.

The Houston-based agency will primarily handle advertising, promotions and public relations for the company’s Maseca brand. Efforts will be targeted at Hispanic consumers, according to shop president and chief creative officer Alex Lopez Negrete.

WPP Group’s Mendoza, Dillon & Asociados in Irvine, Calif., previously handled the duties for the Dallas-based client.
