Robert Reiser starts two jobs at Cossette Post today.

Reiser, 48, becomes chief creative officer at the New York agency and an equity partner of Thinking Sports, the shop’s new sports marketing unit.

Reiser and his friend and Dobbs Ferry, N.Y., neighbor Mark Bingham, 45, came up with the idea behind Thinking Sports while on vacation and last fall persuaded the agency and its parent, Cossette Communications in Toronto, to fund it.

Formerly, Bingham was president of the consulting, events and marketing units at Interpublic Group’s Octagon North America.

“We were sitting on the beach down on the Outer Banks in North Carolina, and we began a dialogue about what he does and what I do,” said Reiser, a copywriter by training and formerly a deputy creative director at IPG’s Lowe in New York.
