Cleveland Critic Loses Job Lawsuit

A jury rejected the former Cleveland Plain Dealer music critic’s lawsuit who sued after he was given a different beat, the New York Times reports.

Plaintiff Donald Rosenberg was reassigned after writing a number of negative reviews about the Cleveland Orchestra and the orchestra complained to the paper.

A jury of eight found Rosenberg’s claims of age discrimination at the paper unfounded and dismissed claims of “interference and defamation” against the orchestra’s governing body, the Musical Arts Association.
