Interpublic Group last week confirmed that it has hired former Pharmacia corporate controller Bob Thompson as svp of finance. The move reunites Thompson with Chris Coughlin, the former Pharmacia executive who is IPG’s COO/CFO [Adweek, Oct. 20]. Thompson, 51, will oversee the tax department, the corporate controller’s and budgeting groups, and shared services initiatives.
