Met Preps "Photography on Photography"

Returning to our photo theme from earlier today, we’re excited to report that the Metropolitan Museum of Art has just released additional details on the second exhibition in its new gallery for contemporary photographs. Opening April 8, “Photography on Photography: Reflections on the Medium since 1960” will present four decades worth of photos by artists in the Met’s permanent collection who have taken photography itself as their subject. So yes, look for the work of Sherrie Levine, Richard Prince, Vito Acconci, Thomas Ruff, and Hiroshi Sugimoto, as well as recently acquired works by such artists as Kota Ezawa, Josephine Pryde, and Mark Wyse.
