LOS ANGELES Advertising agency Creature has launched a campaign for the Professional Bowlers Association aimed at positioning the players as true athletes in a legitimate sport.

The campaign includes the first TV ads from Creature for the Seattle-based organization. Three spots introduce “King of the lanes” as a tag and show how tennis and basketball players and golfers would perform if they used a bowling ball in their respective sports.

One 30-second ad, “Basketball,” opens with a guy holding a bowling ball on a basketball court.
