LA Weekend Starts Today
LA Weekly‘s annual LA Weekend event begins this evening at the Saban Theater in Beverly Hills, and continues Saturday from noon to midnight. The event is billed as “a two-day celebration of L.A.’s most exciting local arts, food, music, theater, books and film.”
We didn’t make it to the first LA Weekend event last year, so we aren’t entirely sure what to expect. But between Jonathan Gold talking hot dogs, a screening of black metal documentary Until the Light Takes Us, a signing for Lina Lecaro’s new book about local dive bars, and an exhibition of photographer Kevin Scanlon’s People Issue portraits, we’re pretty sure we’ll be entertained.
