Class-Action Lawsuit Against Antelope Valley Press

A San Diego law firm specializing in consumer and employee rights is seeking plaintiffs in a class action lawsuit against Antelope Valley Newspapers, Inc. Emge & Associates has filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court seeking compensation for hourly workers that did not receive state mandated meal and rest breaks. The allegations, if true, could be prove to be expensive for the little paper. According to the Emge & Associates website, “California law provides that employees who are denied their meal periods or rest breaks are entitled to one additional hour of pay for each day where a violation occurred.”
