Hearst President Comments on Tablets

David Carey, President of Hearst Magazines, spoke at the Bloomberg Media Summit and sounded confident about tablet magazines, despite that study we told you about yesterday.

Carey said that eventually, 25 to 30 percent of a magazine’s subscriptions will be from tablets, and was confident that Hearst would someday come to an agreement with Apple on a subscription method.

He also said that using a single subscription technology for every title wouldn’t work, because people want different things from their magazines.
