DALLAS AeroMexico is in the final round of an agency review with two undisclosed contenders, the client confirmed.

The airline did not invite the Miami incumbent, WPP Group’s Young & Rubicam, to defend, said Juan Garcia, marketing manager of AeroMexico U.S., which is based in Houston. “We are looking to refurbish our creative.”

Six agencies were initially invited to pitch the account, sources said.

AeroMexico spent $6 million last year through October, according to CMR, and $9 million in 2001.
