Ellies '08: The Georgia Review Reacts To Nomination

FishbowlNY emailed Stephen Corey, editor of The Georgia Review, to get his reaction to being announced as a finalist for the 2008 National Magazine Awards. ”I recall that last year FishbowlNY referred to The Georgia Review as a dark-horse candidate in the Essays category — which we ended up winning, beating out The New Yorker, Smithsonian, and others.
