The Age: Vogue Record Breaking September Issue ''Ridiculous''
Much has been made of Vogue’s record breaking September issue. On this side of the globe the announcement was met with some awe. Considering the present economic climate for print publications, Vogue’s veritable smorgasbord of luxury ornamentation is really quite impressive. Australias Age, though, begs to differ. From Larissa Dubecki of TheAge:
”More than triple its normal girth, weighing as much as a model type would eat in a month, it’s Vogue’s biggest issue — 840 thumping pages, with 727 pages of that ads.
”The sum effect is that it takes the magazine, often called the fashion bible, from the sublime to the ridiculous.”
