New Editor Named In Dwell's House

Two months after Allison Arieff, its longtime editor, quit in protest over what she called a “fundamental change” in the shelter magazine’s mission, Dwell announced late Friday that they have named Sam Grawe editor of the magazine. Grawe, who has been at Dwell since 2000, was named co-executive editor following Arieff’s unceremonious exit.

Founder Michela O’Connor Abrams said Grawe has “an inherent understanding of the Dwell mission, the vitality of our brand platforms” — which we’re told was, in part, what Arieff took exception to.
