Morris Hands Off Pfizer

NEW YORK — Mark Morris, Bates North America chairman and worldwide client director, said Thursday he will relinquish that job as of Jan. 1 and with that, his role as the senior account executive on the agency’s second largest client, Pfizer. He will become vice chairman of the recently formed Bates Group.

Howard Courtemanche, 41, who has been evp on Bates’ Pfizer business in North America for six years, will assume Morris’ worldwide duties on the account, which includes such brands as Benadryl, Zantac, Rolaids and Dentyne Ice.
