Owner of Darbert Offset Printing Company Pleads Guilty

NEW YORK — Federal prosecutors investigating allegedly fraudulent billing practices in the printing industry netted a third guilty plea this week, as Bertram Cohen, owner of Darbert Offset, a New York-based graphics supplier, pleaded guilty to conspiracy charges associated with mail fraud and tax evasion, sources said.

Like Howard Marlin, the owner and CEO of Caysun Graphics Ltd., who pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit mail and tax evasion this week, Cohen paid kickbacks to an unnamed co-conspirator at New York creative shop Impact Communications through Ivan Glick, an independent broker of printing services.
